Silang City
History
It is believed that Silang is one of the oldest towns in Cavite. There are archeological evidences that shows that human settlement was already established as early as 14th century in what was once part of Silang.
A legend explains that it was named Silang because the town is located in the eastern portion "Silangan" of the province. Another legend tells that the Roman Catholic Church was born "isinilang" from the ground.

Silang is known for its farm and garden restaurants at the forefront, a laid-back and countryside vibe. Balinsasayaw boasts cozy kubo o nipa huts and of course, Filipino favorites. Concha's Garden Cafe
Concha's is a little garden paradise in the South offering homemade favorites with recipes full of flavor and heart. It is home to some of the traditional Filipino dishes but with a twist like their Pork and Chicken Embutido or their Baked Tahong. Not only do they serve Filipino meals, they also serve fushion dishes like their Mango Cream Fettuccine. It is located in Richland Hills Subdivision 1, Sta. Rosa Tagaytay Road. Brgy. Culture
Sumilang Festival is a way of celebrating a bountiful harvest and a way of thanking the Lord. This festival aims to preserve the cultural heritage of Silang, to promote tourism, improve the local economy and also create a product identity for the town. In this celebration, activities were expected to include like nightly cultural presentations, singing and dancing competitions at the plaza, band parade, street dancing and a variety show.
Notable People
General Jose Ignacio Paua
Jose Ignacio Paua was a Chinese-Filipino general who joined the Katipunan, it was a secret society that spearheaded the 1896 Philippine Revolution against the Spanish Empire. Paua then later served in the Philippine Revolutionary Army under General Emilio Aguinaldo, The first Philippine president.

Gourmet Farms is a 12-hectare estate and home to the wide plantation of lettuce that they are known for that offers a farm tour. They also have a Gourmet Cafe that also doubles as mini grocery where people can sample some of Gourmet Farm's best brews and pasalubong. They also offer The Dining Room where they serve farm-to-table goodness such as pasta a pizzas. It is located in Emilio Aguinaldo Hwy, Silang, Cavite.
This Farm offers souvenirs and tour that specializes handmade beeswax products that have nutritive and healing properties. Their popular products include honey and propolis shampoos, honey face scrubs, and propolis toothpaste. The Ilog Maria is open for tours where guests can learn the different types of honey bee produce, bee sting remedies and also the behavior of the foraging honeybees. It is located in Lalaan 1, Aguinaldo Highway, Silang, Cavite.
